This is a great looking shop in a convenient location.

The nail bar was buzzing and the staff are welcoming.

I popped in for a manicure and of course the receptionist did her best to fit the treatment in. The nail technicians were busy so I was passed on to a hairdresser. Nothing wrong with that, business is business and most therapist are multi-talented.

My therapist was doing a lip wax when I arrived. The reason why I noticed her is because there was a man speaking to her while she did the treatment which I thought was odd.
Most women will not admit that they have hair on their upper lip and here is a man talking to the therapist while she is carrying out the treatment. In my view he had no consideration for the client or respect for the professionalism of the therapist who needed to concentrate treatment and client.

And then from that client she was shuffled over to me for my natural nail manicure. The other therapist and receptionist had not set up a work area or put out the resources that were needed. So she rushed around to find what was needed for my treatment and then totally frazzled she sat me down at a hair station.

My therapist name is Asu she has  technique with the manicure tools that I would never of considered. These techniques were effective and well instigated.  They say we learn something new every day, but after 40 years in the beauty business she impressed me and I definitely learned new uses for cuticle clippers and curved nail scissors that I will be sharing with my Level 3 Nail Enhancement Technology students.

My disappointment was not so much in the varnish application but the fact that no Base or Top Coat was used which is my worst nightmare. This is one of the things that separate the professionals from the others. The whole point of going to the salon is to get a professional finish.  The end result looked like I had slapped on a layer of colour...
Such is life £'s wasted on what could have been a great experience.

This shop has great potential if the management stop blaming, making excuses and work on solutions.

The solution from an outsiders view is that therapist need support instead of trying to squeeze the juice of their experience so that you can earn a extra £ set up work areas with the resources they need for the next client and you'll get more out of them and less complaints from clients.
