EXTREME HAIR WARS

I don't know about you but I am loving this new reality show Extreme Hair Wars.

Sitting comfortably on my settee I can be the critic of all; but the judges have been an issue  to me since the first programme.

These two judges ask for technique,  innovation, skill, creativity and never seen before originality.

On this weeks show the skills challenge was "the theme light years ahead", did they boldly go where no stylist has gone before? First 1st prize was given to hair wrapped around a pyramid frame - how can they justify that!?!! I do not question the winning contestants talents, but even he was surprised. He just didn't cover the criteria on the day.

Meanwhile with Aycan I saw at least 3 different styles of breading - I saw technique, innovation, skill creativity and definitely 'space the limit' originality ... when her model revealed  her wings completely made of hair it complimented the Alien Goddess look; which in turn complemented the hair style that met the criteria "out of this world" the hair style even incorporated the moon...

PS big up the make-up artist too...

On this occasion more than the previous shows I question the judges decision - I appreciate their decision is final. I just want to suggest - similar to other talent programmes they bring Aycan back as the 'wild card' to shake up the competition  - just saying. Have I made a constructive suggestion?

Rant over!!

ACCIDENTAL ICON

Just because the years are moving on doesn't mean we should not make the same efforts with our appearance as we did when we were younger.

After being mistaken for a fashion icon by photographers in Lincoln Center, Lyn Slater started a social media account that catapulted her to fame as a fearless online influence.

I post this link as inspiration to all maturing men and women that are resting on their laurels when it comes to getting up and dressing up.

Attached are some family photos - we will be dressing for a long time.
